Town and Country is one of England’s premier independent conservatory manufacturers, managed by five directors:- Kevin Tuck - Managing Director, Arthur Lake - Finance Director, Ken Fairweather - Technical Director, Mark Jones - Design Director and Darren Collins - Marketing Director.
Town and Country traces it’s roots to the early 1980`s when Kevin Tuck started to develop the company’s existing manufacturing site in Norfolk, at the time specializing in bespoke replacement joinery and developing his expertise in the then youthful conservatory market. Enhancing this established manufacturing and installations workforce with the capabilities of a design, marketing and sales department, Town and Country was formed in 1986. Since then the company has developed and established a reputation based on a heritage of design capability, enduring quality of product and outstanding customer care.
Town and County’s hardwood framed glazed buildings are genuinely bespoke designed and built, incorporating an innovative mix of contemporary glazing and weathering components within traditional joinery construction methods. The company embraces research and development as an ongoing process, and constantly reviews the manufacture specification to keep in line with current Building Regulations requirements, and to offer customers the latest technological innovations. Each commission is hand-manufactured and pre-assembled for accuracy at the Norfolk site, and delivered and installed by company employed skilled installation crews.
In 1994, James Licata, a Chicago lawyer with extensive property renovation experience, selected Town and Country from less than a handful of English bespoke manufacturers, to work with him in developing a North American market. Now with his own established design team, the association continues and Town and Country Chicago office has generated some of the most exciting and accomplished buildings to leave the Norfolk factory.
The lantern roof soon became a logical extension to Town and Country`s product range, which besides its core business of conservatories and orangeries, has developed further to include skylights and roof windows.
